Sara and Cameron’s Wedding

We had a wonderful time with Sara, Cameron and their awesome friends and family last weekend. They had over 100 guests and a great time was had by all.

Their story… “Cameron and I were actually neighbors in high school. (We grew up in a very small town so everyone knows everything) Cameron was my high school crush but wouldnt consider dating me because we were three years apart. I was a freshman and he was a senior kind of thing. One summer night I had a friend stay the night and so did he.” You can read the whole story on our Photo Blog.

Southern Shabby Chic Wedding

In Jennifer’s words… “Rick you are truly amazingly gifted!!!!! Thank You for capturing the beautiful detrails of our special day!!! We are so grateful and can’t wait to see the others!!!”

Of course she’s talking about the photos, and you can see a nice gallery of them at our Bluff Mountain Inn Facebook page.

But the photos that she loved were taken at her one of a kind wedding reception. Jennifer worked closely with Talia (Bluff Mountain Inn Wedding planner) to create her unique vision and make it come to life.

Jennifer had a bridal bouquet made of buttons. I’ve never seen anything quite like it, but here’s how she described it…

“I have always loved buttons!!! I collect them in clear mason jars. naturally when I was planning my wedding I wanted to include them somehow. It all began with an idea then it became something so personal. Lance got some old buttons from his Dad that used to be his grandmothers. I combined those along with some I already had. Then, Lance and I love to shop for antiques..soo we shopped for the rest together. The butterfly pin is his Grandmother, Nellie-Mae’s and the ring is my Grandmother Inez’s.

All together it is now a very personal family keepsake. “

So through the conversations between Talia and Jennifer they created a bond and a mutual plan of how the wedding would go.

Marsha and Ralph Elope to the Mountains

Marsha and Ralph were our most recent Elopement couple. This great couple from Nashville spent several days in the Smoky Mountains and had a beautiful ceremony and celebration at Bluff Mountain Inn. You can see lots more from this couple on our photo blog.

Thanks to everyone who attended and participated in our open house yesterday. We had a blast seeing all our friends and future clients come by to see samples of what we and our partners have to offer for upcoming weddings. The day could not have been more beautiful, and we sincerely appreciate all the time and effort our partners put into making this open house a success. We love it when brides bring their own individual style to a wedding. In this case Suzanne and Bobby had a thing for boots. Bobby didn’t know she would be wearing them until the saw each other for their first glance.

Open House @ Bluff Mountain Inn

Ashley and Joey Elope to the Mountains

Ashley and Joey had been working toward getting married for about two years. They were heading toward a big wedding, but at some point decided they wanted to Elope. Today was their wedding day. Low stress, casual, intimate, romantic. All of the above. Nice folks, and we wish them the very best.

In a few days their images will be on our photo blog, and I’ll update that here when that happens…

Ashley was a beautiful bride, and we had so much fun trying to keep her from blowing away on a really windy day! The colors at Bluff Mountain are just beginning to pop. Isn’t that pink flowering tree awesome?
